Tent Camping

Tent camping (Car Camping) is the type of camping most people start off with. Tent camping is generally inexpensive and only a minimal amount of equipment is needed. All you need is a tent and a few other items (See our Bare Bones Camping Checklist) to enjoy tent camping.

Tent camping campsites without utilities are cheaper then other campsites. Tent Camping is really attractive to families with children and those that enjoy a more rugged camping experience. Tent camping is also a great way to learn about camping before moving on to other types of camping.
